Today is the day that our new designs for London Fashion Week begin to take shape. The sketches are finished, the technical drawings are in the final stages and soon the samples will be under way.

It’s a very exciting time in the Fifi Bijoux design office!

As for me, no time to put my feet up yet…

Having made sure all of today’s ethical jewellery orders are winging their way to customers, the afternoon is to be spent with Couture clients, planning out their bespoke pieces and being interviewed for a magazine (more on that later!).

We’ve had a great response to the Flawless Proposal guide and we’ve just had a delivery of the beautiful engagement ring boxes we supply our ethical rings in, so we’re all set for giving Cupid a helping hand!

On-trend brides are opting for the ethical wedding ring and engagement ring in one, our Sempre ring is a firm favourite.

A gift of diamond earrings seems to becoming an alternative at the time of engagement! It’s not as un-traditional as it may sound; Elizabeth Taylor received an emerald engagement brooch in 1964 and the Duchess of Windsor received a ‘Contract Bracelet’ from the Duke on their wedding day. However, a ring is both symbolic ( and unbroken circle) and practical (can be worn with anything!).
