Earlier this year Kimberley Process Officials successfully banned Zimbabwe from trade within the KP Certification Process, following evidence of severe human rights abuses in the diamond fields and stones being alleged to have been stolen to fund military activity.
Mugabe has announced this week that the sale of Zimbabwe diamonds will continue despite lacking KP certification.
